“Miracle Fruit” is a taste-altering berry that causes sour foods to be perceived as sweet. Mr. Smith's AP Biology students participated in laboratory exercise that provided them with an opportunity to experience an altered perception of taste induced by the berry. This is connected to their unit on cellular signalling. The taste altering effect lasts approximately thirty minutes and can be unsettling (look at their faces!)
